The ATP CHALLENGER 100 will be the most relevant men’s tennis tournament in Catalonia second to the ATP 500 Conde de Godó. According to the organizing team, it is expected that the CLUB TENNIS GIRONA will remain as the organizing club in future editions.
The club has been considering organizing a high level competition for some time, especially after having successfully hosted three editions of the Catalonia championship and the Joan Margets memorial. In addition, after having organized two ITF 15K and one ITF 25K, the organizers have decided to make a step forward and move up to an ATP Challenger 100. This tournament, which is of a higher category from those previously organized by the club, will gather players ranked between the 100 top position in the ATP.
